Royal Parks Half Marathon preparation – Support UNICEF

It has been quite some time since I posted my last update. It is not because nothing was happening, as I made a number of things happen in a so-called meantime – visited Vienna, London, Cromer, Metz, Nancy and amazing Polish Kashubia region, did Tatra mountains hiking and Nida river kayaking. There is one thing however that kept me busy and continues to keep me busy these days and months – the purpose I feel strongly about, which is much bigger than personal ambitions or desires. Since that purpose was set, there is nothing that counts more than to pursue…

4 Lessons Learnt – Business and Women Squash Leagues came to an end

Consistency goes a long way. The whole goal of participating in the league was to prove myself that being consistent in the things that really matter is something I AM capable of doing. You know the feeling of unfinished book or a movie? It always made me thinking of myself as quitter, but once you aim to introduce a small change in your life and make it consistent it will bring about bigger changes. That is when transformation happens. Competitiveness is my second nature and its nothing to be ashamed of. Some people tend to look at it differently, that…

Blue Dragon Foundation Support

Living by the rule “be the change you want to see in the world” and striving to be a conscious traveller when planning for trip to Vietnam two of my friends and I decided to provide support to Children’s Foundation “Blue Dragon”. “Blue Dragon” is located in Hanoi and supports street children, children with disabilities and survivors of human trafficking. The goal of Foundation is to provide long-term care, shelter and educational opportunities for the kids. We figured that every support – even if is small one is worth providing to those in need. And so three weeks before the trip with…

Reims – the city of surrender

Being born and raised for the first seventeen years of my life in a small village somewhere in Western Ukraine, I must admit I have slept through most of history classes. The names of the cities where major historical events took place did not make much difference to me. They were too abstract, they were too far, almost like in a different universe. Never could I have imagined back then that I would one day be able to travel and experience the world. As such only a few days before our trip to Paris and Reims for pre-Christmas celebration I…

The Streets and Views of Milano

This time it took me over a month to actually pull myself together and share the view of Milano. I have heard a lot before going there for a weekend, mostly the comments were along the lines “nothing worth to see”. Well… I respectfully disagree. Duomo di Milano in the weather we have had was just spectacular. You will need to wait in a queue for some 40 minutes, but eventually when you get there the view is worth a wait. Piazza Gae Aplenti is a really impressive modern square to walk around in the evening and it can be a pleasant stroll after a…
